Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university
Current South Carolina License to work in a private practice/independent practice: LPC-I, LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who present with a variety of mental health needs including autism, anxiety, ADHD, depression, and mood disorders
Training in researched-based psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is preferred
Experience implementing Evidence Based interventions (TF-CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.)
Essential Job Functions

Provide psychotherapy to clients including individual and/or family therapy
Treatment planning for all clients to ensure a thorough and appropriate plan of care
Collaborate and actively participate in Autism evaluations conducted by the treatment team at Breakwater Associates
Treatment and care coordination with other service providers, schools, external supports, etc.
Ability to act independently and professionally when engaging with clients, families, other service providers, and schools
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Maintain high quality documentation for all therapy sessions and contacts
Initiate and engage in regular marketing meetings with collateral contacts, outside agencies, school systems, and/or outside providers
Compensation is commission-based. No health benefits, but retirement benefits are offered to qualified employees.
